It’s almost time for Master Chimpo to power up his Magical Mystery Machine and invite lucky gem owners into his workshop for the first-ever Chimpvolutions! Once inside the workshop, you will be able to use a gem to evolve an existing Chimpers to reveal 1 of 555 Brand NEW Chimpers characters! Chimpvolutions update the art and metadata of existing Chimpers only. This is not a new NFT collection nor does it add to the original 5,555 Chimpers collection.
## Introduction At Chimpers, our aim is to ensure that being a member of our community is a source of joy and fulfillment, whether it’s through our adventures, mini-games, and Chimpers Chuesdays, or the array of activities we offer. So with the completion of this season’s adventures, Master Chimpo is keen to continue the good Chimp vibes! - Remember the dopamine days of 2021? - The eager excitement and anticipation waiting for your minted NFT to reveal? Well, we wanted to bring some of the nostalgia and fun times back with the Great Chimpvolutions and some new Timpers creations.
## Chimpers Collections Created by Pixel Artist @TimpersHD, Chimpers is an eclectic and vibrant PFP character collection comprising 100 Genesis Chimpers and 5,555 Generative Chimpers. The collections were released in 2022 to great acclaim and are considered among the most prominent artistic creations in web3. Since launch, Chimpers have nurtured a strong community of collectors who have fallen in love with the characters and their unique traits and enjoy seeing them come to life in the stories, games, and experiences we develop. A natural second step for PFP projects in the NFT space was to release a secondary collection to reward holders and grow their community. This approach was initially successful but became problematic due to dilution, especially in a difficult market. Though we need to grow our community and would love to see many more thousands of Chimpers, currently, this is not in our plans. We are not saying we will NEVER release another Chimpers collection, but there would need to be sustainable demand and a proper use case for us to do so. But the problem remained; we wanted to see more Chimpers!
## New Chimpers & the Gems Rewards in the Ancient Chronicles adventure series included three types of rare gems that were thought to contain magical powers. Following extensive testing with his Magical Mystery Machine, Master Chimpo has found that these gems can be used to evolve Chimpers. Little is known of the evolved Chimps so far, but Master Chimpo, through his experiments, has found out some key information about what to expect! Master Chimpo’s machine is fragile and using it causes some extensive damage. The yellow Tier 1 Gems appear to cause the most wear to his machine, whilst the Blue Tier 3 Gems cause only a tiny amount of wear. As such, Master Chimpo has determined that he can perform 555 Chimpvolutions before the machine needs maintenance, just as long as the number of each gems used is as follows: - 89 Tier 1 Gems - 172 Tier 2 Gems - 294 Tier 3 Gems

The magical 3 gems may be similar in size and shape, but the power of each gem is what differentiates them. From his weeks of trials and testing, Master Chimpo also determined that the more powerful the tier of gem, the more exclusive the clothes the evolved chimp wore! - Chimps evolved using Tier 1 gems would be guaranteed to wear a super rare outfit. - Chimps evolved using Tier 2 gems would be guaranteed to wear a rare outfit. - Chimps evolved using Tier 3 gems would be guaranteed to wear an uncommon outfit, or no outfit at all!
Master Chimpo also discovered that although gem tiers determined the outfit, all the other new traits appear to be totally random!
## Gem Distribution A total of 555 gems are in circulation, and the quantities of each gem type coincidentally match the number of gems Master Chimpo’s machine can use. There are: - 89 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 1 - 172 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 2 - 294 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 3
## Adventure Rewards 113 gems were found on the adventures, and Master Chimpo has already deposited these into the winner’s wallets, ready for when he opens up his machine. There are: - 18 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 1 - 35 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 2 - 60 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 3
## Master Chimpo’s Stocks Master Chimpo has a stock of 442 gems. He is keeping 100 gems for himself to continue his experiments, and will be auctioning off any chimps he evolves for a bounty!

The remaining 342 gems will be used over time and, in many ways, to reward Chimpers owners who believe in the culture of the dojo and the furtherance of chimpkind. There are: - 71 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 1 - 137 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 2 - 234 Gem of Chimpvolution — Tier 3
In the run up to Chimpmas we’ll be hosting a plethora of raffles and other events to determine the fate of these gems. Raffles are to be held every Tuesday and Wednesday, which include: 10 per week for staked Chimpers holders, 1 per week for Chimpers Chronicles Series 2 Full Set holders, 1 per week for holders of either the Dragon Quest Art Piece or Quest Full Set Holders, 1 per week for staked Genesis Chimpers holders, and 1 per week for Chimpers Chronicles Series 1 Full Set holders. The tier of gem being raffled is decided by rolling a dice for each category. If the dice returns a 1, then a Tier 1 gem will be up for grabs in that raffle. If the dice returns a 2 or 3, then a Tier 2 gem will be up for grabs in that raffle. If the dice returns a 4, 5 or 6, then a Tier 3 gem will be up for grabs in that raffle. To view a schedule of upcoming raffles and events, and the raffle winners, head to the dojo and enter the Chimpvolution section via the Courtyard, and then click Gem Raffle Events.

## The Chimpvolution Concept The Chimpvolutions are a way to bless the world with more Timpers creations, and to curate the Chimpers collection without dilution. With new ideas, outfits, and traits, Timpers has put his all into creating new characters that are fresh and fun but clearly Chimpers. The Chimpvolutions are designed to be a fun experience, and we aim to include the whole community in the entertainment as we auction a select number of evolved Chimpers ourselves! We will live stream the reveals and the conclusion of each auction. Additionally, we have added an area into the dojo to display an archive of all evolved Chimpers.

As soon as a Chimp is evolved, their Chimpvolution will appear in this new area of the dojo. You can see who evolved the chimp, when it was evolved, the gem used, and the outfit the new chimp wears. Plus, you can vote for your favorite Chimpvolutions by clicking the flame button. The chimp with the most support will then appear towards the top of the standings. Whether you own a gem or not, we hope that you can enjoy the Chimpvolutions as there will be plenty of opportunities to win gems in the future!
## The Chimpvolution Process - Choose a Chimpers to evolve - Place a gem in the machine - Your Chimpers will evolve into a random new Chimpers from the relevant gem tier* - The original Chimpers token image and metadata will be updated** - All evolved Chimpers will be blue bandana level - The used gem is returned to Master Chimpo
*The rarity of the chimp you select for the evolution process has no influence on the evolved chimp you receive. This is solely determined by the gem tier and is randomly assigned. **The metadata of all Chimpers will include a new category “EVOLUTION”. Evolved Chimpers will be set to 1, Original Chimpers will be set to 0.
Note: Holders collect Chimpers for a variety of reasons — be it aesthetics, rarity, or provenance. Thus, the decision to evolve an original, first-edition art Chimpers for a new version Chimpers presents a genuine dilemma to gem owners as the evolution process is irreversible!

## Chimpvolution Considerations We always strive to keep our community engaged and work hard to maintain and enhance our presence in the web3 space. Consequently, we approached the decision to modify the original Chimpers artwork and collection with considerable thought, carefully weighing the pros and cons. **Downsides:** - There is a potential to alter established collection rarities. - We will need to create new gifs, sprites, and battle animations for the new Chimpers.
**Upsides:** - It injects fresh life into the collection with new artwork. - It promises an enjoyable experience that will keep us all engaged. - It generates continuous content and attention. - It could reduce the number of Chimpers with no or low bandanas. - It is a way of rewarding the community. - It brings back the nostalgic Genesis reveal vibes with Chimpeby’s Auctions. - A thriving dojo lifts all chimps!
## Will there ever be more than this batch of 555 New Chimpers? If it felt right from a collection, market, collector, and lore pov the answer is yes, but the traits of this batch of 555 are fixed and there will never be any more Chimpers like them.
